From November 25 to 29, 2019, delegation from Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research & Design Institute (SNERDI) attends International Conference on Research Reactors in Buenos Aires, Argentina, organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

The conference is to foster exchange of information on operating and planned research reactors. Reactor operators, managers, users, regulators, designers and suppliers share experience and address challenges and opportunities to ensure effectiveness and sustainability for research reactors.

Three hundred experts and professions are attracted to attend conference from more than 50 countries. Seven topical sessions have been addressed, including utilization and applications, operation and maintenance, new research reactor projects, safety, security, fuel management and decommissioning, common management considerations.
