On November 23, 2018, Chief Designer of CAP1400 and President of SNERDI (Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research & Design Institute), Dr. Zheng Mingguang met the Director of EV Promotion and President of TEPCO (Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings, Inc.) Research Institute, Mr. Takafumi ANEGAWA.

Dr. Zheng introduced the development of SNERDI starting from the 300MWe pressurized water reactor to the large-scale passive reactor CAP1400, and the iconic achievements SNERDI made in the areas of engineering design, research & development, and intelligent equipment design. He proposed the further communication and cooperation on advanced, digitalized and intelligent technologies to promote the sustainable development of nuclear industry.

Mr. Anegawa shared the latest progress and the lessons learnt from  Fukushima accident, the filtration emission system TEPCO designed, the regulations and advanced technologies applied on seismic prevention, and so on.
