SNERDI and Japan delegation discussed the prospective of nuclear energy development, the advantages of passive technology, the manufacturing and design of main components and the strengthening of international cooperation.

Dr. Zheng said, Japan and China were close neighbors separated only by a strip of water. The two countries had a longstanding cooperation history in the area of developing effective and safe nuclear energy. The successful construction of self-reliance projects verified the advancement of passive technology and also built the confidence for the new technology. He pointed out that the work of creation never ended. Japan and China should be committed to mutually beneficial cooperation and common development under new standard, new technology and new management system.
