November, 3rd, 2015, a delegation led by Mr. Thomas Loughlin, the executive director of American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) visited Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research & Design Institute (SNERDI).

Senior Vice President of State Nuclear Power Technology Cooperation (SNPTC), Mr. FengxueWang, introduced the reorganization of SNPTC and China Power Investment Corp. (CPI), presented the latest progress on AP1000 and CAP1400 as well as the current status of ASME China International Working Group (CIWG).

Mr. Loughlin said that, over past years, SNPTC and ASME have always been good friends and partners. Under new circumstances, he hoped that both sides could continue the proposed type of strategic partnership in the area of loT (Internet of things), 3DP (3D Printing), SMR (Small Reactor) and so on.

ASME and SPNTC will be committed to mutually beneficial cooperation and common development, adding new substance and injecting inexhaustible impetus to the relations.
