9 July, 2013, Shanghai, the acceptance review meeting of AP1000 Domestic Control Rod Drive Line Drop Test was held in Shanghai Jiaotong University. The test result has received unanimous praise from the review group.


The test shows, under the simulated conditions of negative factors as in-core cross flow, upper support plate misalignment and lower guide tube deflection, etc., the rod drop time increments of AP1000 series drive line is within an acceptable range. There is still rather considerable safety margin compared with engineering limit value. The safety of the well-designed AP1000 domestic control rod drive line has thus been sufficiently validated.
