On 24th, Aug., 2016, a delegation of Sufa Technology Industry Co., Ltd. of CNNC (SUFA), led by General Manager PENG Xinying, visited Shanghai Nuclear Power Engineering Research & Design Institute (SNERDI).

SNERDI introduced the construction status of AP1000 nuclear power plants in Sanmen and Haiyang and the preparedness of demonstration project. SUFA appreciated the long-term technical support from SNERDI, presented the R&D conditions for gates and valves, and proposed the further development in engineering construction.

SNERDI and SUFA have been cooperated in the R&D of squib valve, main steam isolation valve, ADS valves and other related products. The obtained achievements have been applied in demonstration project, follow-up projects and other reactors under similar circumstances.
