21 June 2013, teachers and students from Department of Nuclear Engineering and Radioactive Sciences (NERS), School of Engineering, University of Michigan (U-M), together 19 people visited Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research & Design Institute (SNERDI). SNERDI and NERS initiated a two-month internship program, which will be divided into three phases- general training, principle training and practical operation. Each intern will be guided by a supervisor. Specific training plan will be made to help them have a better understanding of China’s nuclear power industry as well as SNERDI.
