The World Nuclear Association Symposium is the premier annual event for the global nuclear industry. On 3-5 September 2018, hundreds of nuclear energy professionals gathered for a diverse programme of presentations, hot seat interviews, and high-level panels on the most important industry issues today.

Dr. Zheng, mingguang, the Chief Designer of the National Science and Technology Major Project of Large Advanced PWR known as CAP1400 and President of SNERDI, was invited to deliver the keynote speech on the topic of SMR Application and Technology Development.

He introduced the latest progress on first batch of AP1000s, the application orientation of SMRs in China and the technology roadmap initiated by SNERDI. He pointed out that SMR is the ideal option to support the rapid growth of DATA CENTER, and the multiple application of SMRs will be suitable for bothe land and ocean base. 'China is providing the largest NPP market, and we warmly welcome cooperations and look forward for the successful deployment of SMR in the global nuclear industry' he states.
